Writing, Rhetoric & Praxis (WRAP) is the graduate student group for the Rhetoric & Writing program in the Writing, Rhetoric, and American Cultures (WRAC) department at Michigan State University. We are recognized as an official student organization by the university, which establishes our financial legitimacy. WRAP is guided by its Constitution, a document required for student organizations at MSU. The Constitution is periodically amended and approved by all of our members.
The WRAP Executive Committee is made up of member-elected officers – a President, Social Events Coordinator, Recruitment Coordinator, and Professional Development Coordinator. The ECs goals are to work toward transparency in our decision making, encourage sustainability to ease the transition from one EC to the next, and finally, to advocate for our members in the RW program.
Each coordinator is the chair of respective committees designed to involve WRAP members in graduate student life in the RW program, as well as spread the work among a small group of members.
